This Privacy Policy describes how Embarc Solutions LLC (“Embarc Solutions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with our website at embarcsolutions.net (the “Site”) and any related applications, services, or tools we operate, including the Embarc Publisher application we use to manage our own Facebook Page and Instagram Business Account (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Embarc Solutions LLC is a Minnesota limited liability company with its principal business address at 1400 2nd St. NW, Kasson, MN 55944. For any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can reach us at brandon@embarcsolutions.com.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy covers two distinct contexts:

(a) The embarcsolutions.net website. The Site is an internal sales resource portal used primarily by Embarc Solutions sales representatives and authorized partners. Visitors to the Site interact with WordPress-based pages and links to third-party training resources.

(b) The Embarc Publisher application. Embarc Publisher is an internal-use Meta Platform application registered with Meta (App ID 1485594909584334) that we use exclusively to publish our own marketing content to our own Facebook Page (Embarc Solutions) and Instagram Business Account (@embarcsolutions). Embarc Publisher does not authenticate or collect data from end users or third parties; it operates with administrator-issued long-lived Page access tokens issued by Meta directly to authorized Embarc Solutions personnel.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information We Collect Through the Site

When you visit embarcsolutions.net, our hosting provider and content management system (WordPress) may automatically collect standard server log information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and access times. We may also use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for site functionality, security, and basic analytics. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the Site.

3.2 Information We Collect Through Embarc Publisher (Meta Platform Data)

Through Embarc Publisher, we access only the data necessary to publish content to our own Meta-owned assets. Specifically, with permissions granted by an authorized administrator of our Meta App, the following Meta Platform data is accessed:

  • pages_show_list — to identify the Facebook Page we administer.
  • pages_read_engagement — to read basic engagement metrics on content we publish.
  • pages_manage_posts — to publish, schedule, and manage posts on our own Facebook Page.
  • pages_manage_metadata — to manage Page-level configuration related to our publishing workflow.
  • business_management — to interact with our Meta Business Portfolio for our own Page and Instagram Business Account.
  • instagram_basic — to read basic information about our connected Instagram Business Account.
  • instagram_content_publish — to publish image and carousel content to our own Instagram Business Account.

Embarc Publisher does not request, collect, or retain personal data about Facebook or Instagram users other than the public account information of our own Page and Instagram Business Account. We do not access user lists, follower data, direct messages, comments authored by third parties, or any other personal data outside the scope of publishing our own content.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Publish marketing, recruiting, and informational content from Embarc Solutions to our own Facebook Page and Instagram Business Account;
  • Schedule, manage, and review the performance of content we publish to those Meta-owned assets;
  • Respond to inquiries directed to us; and
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Meta Platform Terms.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • With Meta Platforms, Inc. — Content published through Embarc Publisher is, by design, transmitted to Meta and posted on the Facebook Page and Instagram Business Account we operate. Once published, that content is subject to Meta’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Service providers. We use third-party service providers (such as our website host, content delivery network, and WordPress plugin vendors) that process limited data on our behalf and only as needed to operate the Services.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Embarc Solutions, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Embarc Solutions is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to standard confidentiality protections.

6. Data Retention

We retain Meta Platform access tokens only for as long as they are needed to operate Embarc Publisher and only on systems controlled by authorized Embarc Solutions administrators. Tokens are rotated or revoked promptly when no longer needed, when personnel change, or when we have reason to believe a token may be compromised. Standard server logs are retained for the period required by our hosting provider’s defaults, typically no longer than 90 days. Content we publish to our own Facebook Page or Instagram Business Account remains on those platforms subject to Meta’s policies and our own editorial decisions.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at brandon@embarcsolutions.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

If you believe Embarc Solutions holds personal information about you and you would like that information deleted, please see our Data Deletion Instructions page for the specific process and timeline. You may also email brandon@embarcsolutions.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Services and Meta Platform Terms

Embarc Publisher operates within Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Information transmitted to or received from Meta is subject to Meta’s own Privacy Policy, available at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. The Site may contain links to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

12. International Users

Embarc Solutions is based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand and consent that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
